Cosmic Poems
“If love is a star,
I’ll give you the entire galaxy”
-S.Stargazer
Ocean
Imagine that you’re drowning in an ocean of fire,
Your skin is rapidly devoured by the flame,
You begin to shrivel, from skin to fleshes, from fleshes to bones,
From bones to ashes,
And yet,
You struggle, with every pieces that you have left,
For a sliver chance of survival,
You know death is inevitable,
But the thought of living flashes every fractions of a second and you hold on to the tiny hope,
Even from ashes,
You’ll be molded into something better,
Every particle in you takes a whole new form,
And every piece of you scatters across the universe.
Everywhere
I looked for you,
In every songs that I’ve played,
In every books that I’ve read,
In every stars that I’ve gazed,
And then I realized,
You are everywhere.
Distortion
You asked,
“How does it feel to fall in love with me?”
I am the celestial body that floats aimlessly,
Across the vast emptiness of the cosmos.
And my darling,
You are the star,
The heavier mass that causes distortion,
Amidst the space-time continuum,
Bending my direction to gravitate around you.
“You are my Sun,
That keeps me anchored to life”
Closed Trajectory
I am like an astronaut,
Who seemed to hopelessly floats beyond the atmosphere,
And you are the Earth,
Constantly I am,
Falling for you,
And constantly I am,
Missing you.
Gravity
Your memories
are the strong gravitational pull
that I no longer
gravitate into.
Early Lights
There was a time,
When all that we see was simply a glowing opaque fog
In every direction,
We enjoyed every second of our ticking moments,
Dancing in blurry, dazzling light,
Completely oblivious of the future awaiting us.
As the boiling passion gradually subsided,
We travel across the universe,
Following the ever-expanding path,
Uninterrupted.
And someday,
We’ll lose energy,
Desperately sliding down the spectrum,
Incapable of catching up to the idea of love that we once held fast,
Leaving the incarnation of the moments in our early days,
But never stops,
Being each other’s light.
[From Big Bang, until Heat Death,
Until our love reached its perfect entropy.]
Star Ocean
The thoughts of you are the ocean of stars,
That I constantly drown into,
Gradually I sink,
Deeper in space and time.
Never for once,
I prayed for a savior.
Because my darling,
I will love you forevermore,
Even if your love drains the life out of me.
Equivalence Principle
My vision swims into his light brown eyes as they reflect the golden hue of sunlight that entered through the crack of the half-opened window. My gaze traces his nose bridge down to his dried, chapped lips.
I froze.
“You never warn me”
That no matter who I fell in love with,
Your eyes live in theirs,
Your warmth seeps into me from the slightest touch of a stranger,
Your words breathe in every conversation.
And I keep falling for strangers,
As I see the ghost of you made home in
Their eyes,
Their warmth,
Their words,
Their voice.
“And I’ve been longing to go home”.
Stargazing
Let me explain,
About the way I look at you,
It is as if I am marveling through the stars and galaxies,
At night where the sky is untouched by the artificial light,
And I am helpless,
Held captive by the divine scenery.
Whenever I look at you,
I am stargazing.
Sky Full of Stars
When I was a little girl,
I dreamed of touching the sky full of stars.
As I grow up,
I’ve been longing for someone,
To call him my universe.
Supernova
“We loved too much…”
Our passion expanded into a red giant star,
Helplessly trapped in our overwhelming infatuation towards each other we,
Fell in love too fast,
Collapsed under our emotions too fast
and eventually,
Exploded like a supernova,
Releasing powerful waves that shattered almost everything in our path,
The aftermath leaving us feeling lost in the dusty remnants of our past.
“And we destroyed each other…”
Galaxy Mergers
There was a time when her heart was still whole,
She was too naïve for this fragile feeling called love,
Scars on her thighs, stardust in her eyes,
“We are rare”, she told him.
Her fingers intertwined with his,
the beginning of a tragic ending.
She was too oblivious to notice the cannibalistic black hole residing deep inside of him,
They merged like the galaxies, as they trapped in each other’s gravity,
You could say that some relationships are destined to doom,
They flickered in beautiful, colorful wavelengths,
Withering away as they grew too close together.
Light Years
And I counted our distance in light years,
So that the numbers between us become smaller,
All that we feel is closer,
To each other.
Constellations
Your words spilled on my dark canvas like constellations,
and I am able to navigate myself through the darkest of the night,
Guiding me from east to west and north to south.
But some nights,
Everything seems so alien,
Like staring into the sky from another planet,
Desperately trying to make sense out of the constellations that I can never recognize,
Eventually I am lost in the struggle of connecting the dots.
Your existence, both guided me, and lead me astray.
Lunar Eclipse
I never have believed that,
Anyone could compete with the darkness of the sky adorned by the light of thousands of stars,
Residing hundreds, even millions of light years away,
For my burning passion and attention,
And emerge the victor,
But darling you had.
You are a full moon,
Eclipsing everything.
Interstellar Fireworks
She’s like the galaxy,
Incomprehensibly beautiful,
You were drawn to her by the forces that you can’t see,
But you can feel,
A mutual gravitational attraction.
As the cosmic clock ticked,
The feelings grew stronger,
Gradually you immersed yourself in the colorful ocean of stars,
Embracing the thin tendrils of gas and dusts,
Colliding.
Mixing.
Igniting.
A celestial firework.
But sometimes love can be too much
What’s left after the interstellar collision was a broken, dim and dying galaxy,
That can never radiates as brightly as it used to,
A grotesque, tragic dance.
“But who could love a broken girl?”
And she is afraid to love again.
Supernova
Among the detritus of a star,
A stellar nursery,
Your soul burst out the light of millions of suns,
And dispersed into colorful cosmic clouds,
You were petrified,
That you’ll never be the same again,
But astoundingly you unveiled a new scenery,
To the universe of you.
